TEXAS LONE STAR CHAPTER UPDATE
FROM OUR PRESIDENT
 
I hope that this message finds you all doing well after the storm, and that you and yours and your property are safe and sound. I hope, also, that you have power as well.
 
Our September Meeting had to be cancelled due to Hurricane Ike, and the resulting aftermath. We are planning to hold our October Meeting on schedule, on October 16th, however there are several changes we need to make.
 
Benny Youngers' daughter and her husband were coming to the September meeting to take free 8 x 10 color photos of our veteran members. They will now be at our October meeting instead. Please wear your Class A uniform, if you have one. Otherwise, the Chapter shirt (Class B) should be worn.
 
The annual Chili Supper, usually held in October, will not be held. Instead, we will have a potluck supper. Please bring something appetizing. Ladsies, please coordinate with Martha on this.
 
Raffle tickets for the original Lone Star Chapter American Flag will be available at the meeting, at $5.00 each. The flag will be raffled off at the November meeting.
 
Due to the need to catch up on a number of items, plus the photography and the supper, there will not be a videotaping of a member at this meeting.
