I Flew 47 missions as Radio Op & waist gunner with Navy Patrol Squadron VP-871 between Nov 51 to Aug 52. We Flew out of K-14 (Kimpo)at night North of the 38th Parallell' dropping flares for the fighters. We located convoys, dropped flares to light up the area, then the fighters came in & dropped the napalm to burn them. (2 weeks at a time) then went back to Japan and flew Patrol missions, of all the shipping to N. Korea from the Japan & Yellow Sea's.
