Re-Scheduled VA Road Closure: Mixon Avenue, May 29 - June 1
As weather permits, MEDVAMC is performing road and sidewalk repairs on Mixon Avenue, the main VA road that travels from Old Spanish Trail to Almeda. The closure of the northbound lane of Mixon Avenue, from the Emergency Room Entrance to near the Fisher House, has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 29, 2008, 6 a.m. to Sunday June 1, 2008, 6 p.m. Traffic will be detoured onto Sheehan Avenue. Day shift employees are asked to enter through the Holcombe or Almeda Entrances. During the road closure, expect traffic delays when entering the Old Spanish Trail Entrance. Sheehan Avenue will be designated as a one-way northbound road on May 29-30, 8-11 a.m. VA Police officers will be on-site to direct traffic as necessary.
