SPECIAL BULLETIN: ANNUAL BALLGAME
 
The Astros have just notified us that our annual "Honor All Veterans Day" ballgame must be rescheduled. It appears that there was a lack of communication between the Marketing and Sales Departments on this. This is the first time this has happened in twelve years of scheduling this game.
 
The original schedule was for the game to be held on Saturday, May 24th, 6:05PM, Astros vs. the Philadelphia Phillies. The game has now been rescheduled to Sunday, May 4th, 1:05pm, Astros vs. Milwaukee Brewers.
Anyone who already ordered tickets for May 24th and cannot attend on May 4th needs to contact Bob Mitchell, 713-939-8880 or online at kwvarjm@aol.com. To obtain a refund.
 
If you still wish to attend, and wish to sit with the Chapter members, you can do so by signing up at the March 13th General Meeting. Bob will have a signup sheet there. Make your checks out to Bob Mitchell, $10. per ticket times however many tickets you want. This will be your last opportunity to sign up in person. After March 13th you can still order tickets by sending in your order and your check to Bob at 3021 Rosefield, Houston, Tx 77080 up until the final cutoff date. In view of this earlier date, the cutoff date is now March 31. Bob will purchase the block of tickets and distribute them at the April 17th General Meeting. You can still purchase tickets after March 31 until about two weeks before the game by calling Cody Arnold at Astros Ticket Sales, 713-259-8315. Identify yourself as a KWVA member to obtain the discount. If you choose this method you may or may not sit with the Chapter members, depending on seats still available.
 
Sorry this has happened but it has and we need to deal with it and move on. We are still hoping for our usual high turnout. Remember that family, friends and neighbors are all welcome as well. The more the merrier. Plan to join us for this special day. See you at the game!
